Animal Eye Care of New England is pleased to announce that we are now able to offer corneal cross linking as means to treating many corneal diseases, including corneal degeneration, bullous keratopathy, and melting corneal ulcers. This process uses UV light and collagen to strengthen the cornea, and has been used in human medicine for decades, but is only recently been introduced in veterinary applications. Our new Peschke PXL Velvet 345 was initially developed for treating keratoconus in humans, but the range of indications has been expanded to various corneal diseases in companion animals as well.
