Dr. Isabel Jurk, MSpVM, Diplomate ACVO
Dr. Jurk is board certified in veterinary ophthalmology and a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists (DACVO). She received her veterinary degree from the University of Giessen, Germany in 1995. Dr. Jurk completed a post-doc fellowship followed by a three year residency training in comparative ophthalmology combined with a Masters degree in specialized veterinary medicine (MSpVM) at North Carolina State University. She helped establish the ophthalmology service at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine where she worked as faculty member from 2001-2007 before founding "Animal Eye Care of New England" in 2007.
Dr. Jurk is treating companion animals, horses, farm animals, exotics, avian, reptiles, zoo animals, marine mammals, and fish. Dr. Jurk is a member of the American College of Veterinary Ophthalmology (ACVO), the Massachusetts (MVMA) and American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management (IVAPM), American Association of Feline Practitioners, and the Phi Zeta Society, Pi Chapter (Veterinary Honor Society).
In her spare time, Dr. Jurk enjoys reading, hiking, and the company of her pet family, including her five cats, two dogs, and horse "Orion".
