Dr. Isabel Jurk received her veterinary degree from the University of Giessen, Germany, in 1995. She then completed a post-doc fellowship followed by a three-year residency in comparative ophthalmology combined with a Masters degree in Specialized Veterinary Medicine (MSpVM) at North Carolina State University. She helped establish the Ophthalmology Department at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine where she worked as a faculty member from 2001-2007.
She founded Animal Eye Care of New England in 2007 and has been providing compassionate, patient focused care to the Pioneer Valley and surrounding area since then. When not at the hospital, she is kept busy by her son and pet family. She is a passionate advocate for animal rights and shelter pet welfare.
